For those who wish to practice their new skills in a supervised environment, a range
of recreational sailing opportunities are available at Portsmouth Watersports Centre.
Our recreational sailing club operates every other Sunday throughout the year.
These 3-hour sessions are your chance to get out there and practice your sailing.
We’ll help you get ready and keep a close eye on you whilst you’re afloat. We’ll
even set up a course or a task if you want one, and of course we’ll help you if
you need it.
These are intended as supervised recreational sessions and as such you will need
to be able to sail with a certain amount of independence. RYA Level 1 is fine; if
you’re a bit rusty we’ll soon get you going again.
These sessions are £25 but if you book two places to sail a double-handed boat this
is only £40.

Club sailing evenings run every Tuesday and Thursday from 20th July –
2nd September, from 6.00pm- 8.30pm.
These supervised sessions are a great opportunity to get out there for a sail during
the summer evenings. You can buy vouchers in advance and then use them when a suitable
night comes along, or you can turn up and pay on the night. This is supervised recreational
sailing where you tell us what you’d like to do, and if it’s feasible we’ll do it.
These sessions are £20 but if you book two places to sail a double-handed boat this
is only £30.
