Portsmouth Watersports Centre offers a range of exciting activities for schools,
groups and individuals on our impressive 13m high climbing tower.
This 13 metre high tower offers the challenge of artificial rock climbing on two
faces (one of them vertical!) as well as the thrill of abseiling down again. Other
activities include trapezing and the famous Jacobs Ladder.
All these activities are great for developing teamwork in groups as well as providing
adrenaline-rush challenges.

Great for groups and parties, the following options are available:
For a party that’s way above the rest, our Climbing and High Ropes course is guaranteed
to get your adrenaline going and your chuckle muscles working.
The harness and safety rope system make getting started a totally safe prospect.
Learn how to move on our training wall then perhaps move on to our vertical challenge.
After a challenging climb to the top, it’s time to zip down the rope again.
You’ll need to pull together to conquer the ‘Jacobs Ladder’. Takes effort – Gives
Fun!
How high can you go? More teamwork needed as you climb up your own tower made of crates.
It will wobble… you will giggle!
The ultimate challenge! Can you climb the pole and hold your nerve as you take the
leap of faith out to the trapeze?
Available all year round, sessions are usually three hours and are suitable for
ages 8 and over. Maximum group size is 16.
Why not make it a party?
Try your first steps at Climbing and Abseil down again. Work as a team to conquer
the Jacobs Ladder or Crate-Stack Challenge. Have you got the nerve to shin to the
top of the pole and attempt the Leap-of-Faith? These sessions are great fun and
will provide adrenaline and excitement for all involved. For a party to remember,

In addition to the active part of your party, we know you’ll want somewhere to blow
out some candles! You can have the use of a room after your activity or, if the
weather’s nice, we have picnic tables on our terrace.
